About me and my healing
Hi, I'm Hayley and I'm a healer and teacher. I'm trained as a Moon Mother (giving female energy healings and blessings), a shamanic healer and a crystal healer. I combine these with over twenty years experience working with witchcraft, the moon and nature to bring you healing, empowerment and knowledge. So you too can work with natural forces to bring positive change to your life.
About Being a Moon Mother
I began my journey as a Moon Mother in 2016. I had been taking part in something called 'The Worldwide Womb Blessing' for a year- which happens five times a year where thousands of women connect through a meditation to help them feel more empowered as women. You can read more about this on https://www.wombblessing.com
After a year of taking part in this event that is run by a woman called Miranda Gray, I came across something on the Womb Blessing website about 'Moon Mothers'. Something in the name itself rang a bell in me so I continued reading. I learnt that a Moon Mother is a woman trained to do personalised womb healings and womb blessings. My heart sang in a way it never had before, and I knew this was a path I wanted to follow.
I found out that Miranda Gray (she was the only teacher at the time- there are now trained teachers in addition) was doing a Level 1 Moon Mother training in London that year. I was living in Essex at the time and London is not to far, so it was ideal! Not only that but as it turns out Miranda Gray hadn't been in the UK for a few years, as she teaches all over the world, so it also felt like an unique opportunity.
So I went to the Level 1 training and I fell in love with it, learning how to womb healing and blessing, everything about it felt right. I definitely wanted to continue this journey, this first one literally changed my life as I learnt how to live to my cycle and this shifted everything- even leading me to let go of taking the contraceptive pill after so many years.
Two years later, there was a Level 2 training, this time in Glastonbury. It had always been my dream to go to Glastonbury but I had never been. I really wanted to go but didn't know how I would get there, or be able to afford the training, plus accommodation etc. I decided to make a gofundme page asking for donations, and I was asking for this instead of birthday presents as the training also fell on my birthday weekend.
I was able partly because of the GoFundMe and partly through my own determined saving to have all the money I needed, I had a friend offer to drive and let me down, but somehow I still could afford the travel so I made it! If the first training had changed me, this weekend in Glastonbury deeply impacted me, as I did the training, but also felt much deep awakening from being in the Spiritual home of Glastonbury. I made close friends with other Moon Mothers this time. I learnt how to do the Female Soul Healing (a deeper version of the womb healing) and how to do The Gift for Men (a feminine blessing for men).
The following year, a level 3 training was announced, this time in Ireland and would be held just before an annual 'Moon Mother Gathering' an event where lots of Moon Mothers come together from all over the world. On this occasion the gathering would be taking the Moon Mothers to the different sacred sites in Ireland. Of course I wanted to go! I was in the same position financially and there was even more to think about- flights etc. But I was determined to do it and so yet again by my own determination and grit, I found myself there. It was a beautiful experience shared with my new found friends from the previous years. My spirituality journey was profoundly touched by the whole experience- the training, Ireland and the sacred sites we visited. I could now offer another six versions of the womb blessing! - Opening to Sacredness, Opening to Peace and the four archetype blessings of Maiden, Mother, Enchantress and Crone.
Becoming a Moon Mother and sharing this work with others has been transformative, changing my life in many ways. Out of all the work I do, this is where I feel I shine the most!
About Being A Witch, Shaman and Energy Healer
I discovered Witchcraft as a curious teenager and it was actually what got me started on my spiritual path. I was around 13 or 14 years old, and I would go into this esoteric shop with my then best friend in my hometown of Southend- it was called Spellbound and we would spend hours there. I started collecting crystals without really knowing anything about them.
One fateful day, I found the book section! I found a book with the title "Teen Witch", it had a cover with this drawing of a very cool looking group of girls. I wanted to be one of them! Of course, I bought that book and that was the beginning of my journey into witchcraft. I read all the other books by the same author (Silver Ravenwolf) and became a solitary witch. As I read these books it was like I found something I had always believed in, but just didn't have a label for it. I loved how it was so much about connecting with nature but also how you were taught there was a Goddess as well as a God. My feminist heart loved that!
Witchcraft led me fully down the spiritual path, as I read all I could that was related to anything spiritual- things about crystals, meditation, the works! The more I read, the more I wanted to learn. I developed myself as a witch over the years, eventually moving from more Wicca based Witchcraft to a more eclectic form, mixing up different traditions. I moved from reading Silver Ravenwolf to authors like Starhawk and Doreen Valiente.
When I met my now husband twenty years ago, he told me he was interested in Shamanism. didn't really know anything about it at the time. He was also not really practicing his spirituality at the time, whereas I was very deep into mine, and it was definitely part of what drew us together in the first place.
Quite sometime after we met, in fact after we got married in 2009, I can't remember how, possibly through Facebook, we found out about a Winter Solstice Shamanic Fire Ceremony that was taking place really close by- and it was free. Of course, it sounded right up our street, so we decided to go along, not knowing at the time, it was the start of more massive changes in both of our lives.
That night, we met a woman called Skie Hummingbird, and as a result of coming to this event we found out about the events she was running. She was going to be starting up a ten week Spiritual Development course not too long afterwards. We decided to join not knowing how much it would bring into our lives. It was a mix of shamanic practices, psychic work and meditation. We met some amazing friends at that time. The group got on so well that the 10 week course actually lasted a year in the end!
During this year, we got some really fantastic opportunities like helping to build and then take part in a sweat lodge. I also got the chance to walk on fire! Through making friends with others in the group we also could learn more things- I trained in Crystal Healing with one of the other participants. Also I discovered 'fairy healing' during our sessions when I had to find a healing to do in the class but I was not yet trained in the sessions! I had the Faeries Oracle deck so I wondered how I could use them in a healing and it was then I wondered if fairy healing was a thing, and soon found out it was!
Skie also taught the Peruvian Medicine Wheel, a form of shamanic training that is more than just training, as it is also a crash course in empowering yourself. My husband Miguel, decided to train with her. It was a life changing experience for him, that led me to teaching it alongside Gareth Hughes. I resisted for a long time, as I knew it was empowering but also very challenging. But after a few years, I finally decided to train with Miguel and Gareth, with Gareth being my main mentor.
Fast forward four years later, and I have now completed all the Medicine Wheel- which is divided into four directions, with new healing modalities to learn each one and huge initations- such as completing a vision quest and having a 'burial'.
To be honest all these things that I have done have been so huge and done so much, that it is impossible for me to really write in an 'about me' to really describe it all.
But it has been the most amazing journey, and now I am honoured and privileged that I am in a position to share my own personal 'medicine' that I have gained through all these experiences, books I've read and even people who have shaped my life to what it is today.
It is my pleasure to share it with you!
